Nothing beats a good healthy snack like pita chips warm out of the oven with hummus. I had some pita that was nearing its end so instead of tossing it, I decided to bake them into chips. These beat the store bought “naked” pita chips and cost almost nothing to make!
You can adjust seasonings however you’d like…you can try Italian seasonings with Parmesan, cinnamon and sugar, etc! Below are the ingredients I suggest to start with, especially as the perfect dipping chip.
Ingredients:
-1 Package Pita Pockets
-2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
-1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
-1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
Preheat oven to 400F.
Cut your pita pockets into 8 triangles each like so:
You can use a pizza cutter or scissors for easier cutting, too!
Brush olive oil lightly on both sides of the pita.
Sprinkle kosher salt on pita. I found we didn’t even need the full teaspoon.
Bake at 400F for 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy.

Serve warm out of the oven with hummus for dipping!
Enjoy! For how simple these are they are surprisingly delicious!
