My great-grandparents came to America from Palermo back in the 1930s and settled in Brooklyn. This was my first time visiting Sicily and it was truly incredible. So different than any part of Italy that I’ve been. Great food and such a beautiful place!

alarum Oh sissy the origin of my craziness ask any Sicilian and I'll tell you this is not enough getting on the plane the landfall look at this menu look at that nacho rocks on come on now shut up of course pizza and pasta on my first night I have always wanted to come to Sicily and I finally here it's amazing and better than I've ever imagined about 80 years ago my great-grandparents came from right here Palermo Sicily to America so stay tuned make sense the street food scene here is incredible and this concert was the perfect soundtrack as I checked it out Sicilian cuisine is 90% seafood and they do it as well as anyone every evening the streets turn into cafes and everyone comes out for the incredible food and music Chanukah Musa is the main Sicilian Street food but don't ask what it is it was one incredible thing after another from the meatballs to the different times of it I still don't know what everything laid was but it was so good all cooked on skillets and served fresh what a first day this is what travel is all about I can't wait to see this in the daylight show you video an order mine everything is so old and absolutely breathtaking Sicily has many influences from the Greeks and the Romans to the Arabs and his Spanish how beautiful the street is with the clock in the church video although I have a pandora charm from every trip I've taken look how beautiful this building is and look how beautiful this is this is Piatra send America very good had I was told to check out the markets and you'll see why the seafood just blows you away the tuna huge fresh and delicious it doesn't get any fresher than this they grill it like steak and serve it on this soft bread with lots of lemon it's one of the best things you'll ever eat in your life yes that's tuna swordfish is another Sicilian specialty and it was unbelievable eggplant is on every menu and right up there was seafood in the Sicilian diet fresh sea snails don't knock it till you've tried it in the tomato sauce or with garlic and parsley more panicum Musa so yummy okay a happy time it's chopped veal spleen and lung boiled then fried in lard on soft bread flavored with sesame with ricotta or kasha Cavallo cheese with lemon and sea salt I told you not to ask just try it it's delicious Sicilian pizza forget about it as my uncle Rocco used to say and it is not deep-dish like in the States it was one beautiful place laughter amazing it's tropical and warm so I had to check out the Mediterranean but not till after lunch seafood papi that in Sicily it doesn't get better than this look how beautiful Amazon hmm the Chinese might have invented the noodle but the Italians were affected I walk down to the port of Sicily which as you might have guessed is gorgeous this is what we do in pretoria fountain was right across from my apartment built in 1574 it's 50 statues are carved out of white kakora marble a must see when you visit Sicily my last stay in Sicily and it's been amazing flying to Naples in the morning it's not over yet I'll have dinner to go something so simple so perfect gelato and simile doesn't get any better than this it's crazy I haven't seen or heard one American here in Palermo but everywhere I go there's always Americans and here there's not and it's actually nice to be honest because I did not come to Sicily to be around let me say it again I did not come to Sicily to be around Americans or to hear them talk so and I loved the architecture here and how its new buildings mixed with old buildings I loved it do yourself a favor and come to Palermo it's a magical place that is different than any place you'll ever experience arrivederci please like comment and subscribe to my channel check out more of my travel videos here are two that you're going to love once I prefer I do what I want when I walk in how
