hi welcome to show me the curry calm I'm hippo I'm Volusia and today we're going to show you how to make avocado Piratas sounds delicious absol I love avocados so I know this is going to be fabulous so we're using two nice and ripe avocados and of course the way you know an avocado is ripe is first of all the skin is darker and not as bright green and when you touch it and just slightly press on it it gives way just a little bit and shouldn't be too mushy and if it's solid as a rock then definitely it's not right so these are perfect right now so we're going to take a knife and just we have a video on how to bigger okay absolutely so we're going to cut just all the way around it cuz there's a seed in the middle and just twist it open voila perfect beautiful hi baby fist caps just these are so beautifully ripe so we're going to take these avocados and remove them so we just make some small cuts into it you can take a spoon and shoot scoop right out like so so you're going to do the same thing for all of them so if your avocados are a little tough you might need to use a potato masher but ours are beautiful but I'm still going to use a potato masher just to help it through I'm going to just mash them up and this is mashed up nicely you're going to add a few other ingredients to this so once mashed it ended up being about one and a half cups packed of avocado pulp and once it's nicely matched we're going to add two tablespoons of lemon juice now the lemon juice provides a nice tangy flavor as well as keeps the avocado nice and green it's really important one teaspoon of salt we have two tablespoons of chopped garlic green chillies chopped to taste and about five to six sprigs of cilantro which is chopped finely 1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder and 1 tablespoon of oil and now you're going to mix it together and get this all incorporated well this reminds me of rolling right guacamole but I chose you ever have bully leftover you don't know what an idea and at this point you can do a taste test and make sure all the flavors are according to your taste and one important thing is we've added about a teaspoon of salt right now if you're going to have these all by themselves like traditional burrata then you need the salt to be a little up a little bit because you just have to incorporate about two cups of flour into it but if you're going to have these with your normal meal then you can you know scale down the salt you don't need as much right now at this point what you're going to do is you're going to add approximately two observe otta or chapatti flood but again put a little at a time incorporated neat keep kneading it and you may or may not need a little bit more or less again depending on the size of your avocado and the consistency and the texture of it right so we're going to add a little let's type and cooperate it in we've added 2 cups of water but I think we're going to need a little bit more it needs to kind of leave your hands you know your hands should be clean your bowl should be clean that's a perfect sign of a good consistency for artificial party or Parata so here's that quarter cup more this is come together well I'm going to just need it for another minute that's about it and I started off adding an additional quarter cup but we only needed about two tablespoons so after that initial two cups goes in there just add a tablespoon at a time until you get to this consistency and by accident if you add too much flour you can always sprinkle just a little bit of water on it just for that flour to incorporate in that looks good and it smells really good and as always you're gonna just just a little bit of oil so that that doesn't form a coating all right this point you can also put it in a cling wrap but didn't as a blog and just freeze it for later on you know if you ever get all the cuddles in sale right it's a great way of using it and will cover it and let it rest for about 15 minutes before we start making so it's been about 20 minutes our dough's been resting and we're going to give it one more need and we're going to just divide this out into small portions so we can roll them out can we have some extra dry chapati otta we're just going to roll it in there so it makes our rolling a lot easier and over here I have a skillet octavo and I'm going to put it on medium heat and allow to heat up now this author is actually softer than your chapati Atta on your chapati dough basically just keep that in mind so it's very easy to roll you just you don't have to work as hard edges and you can shake off all the excess dry flour from here and our Taba is nice and hot if you're going to put the roti on top Murata and just move it around just a little bit you're going to allow it to cook and you're going to see it notice a little color changing and a little bubbles appearing looks perfect we're gonna flip it around that's great and I'm going to take a little bit of oil and smear it over the top and flip it press it down take a little bit of oil this side as well and flip it again and once it's done take it out and put it in a hot case to be ready to eat so we made a few of the avocado Piratas and the recipe we showed you makes approximately 15 to 16 of them but look at it has a nice green light green color to it it's fantastic and and if you feel it they're super soft like absolutely soft and let's give it a try mmm so good I could taste a little bit of the lemon juice mmm the garlic of course the avocado a very subtle avocado flavor but it's so yummy absolute delicious and it's so soft and moranto as I usually had just by themselves over theyi or very yogurt a cold pickle yeah or butter yeah so you can do that or you can even have it with the sabzi or curry dish or something like that but is it really good yummy so guacamole party yeah exactly and you know avocado is always referred to as like a super fruit because it's got fats in it but it's a healthy fat that your body actually needs and those are the kind of fats that actually help you reduce fat in your body so it's a great way to incorporate it into your diet and even the kids if they're picky about eating avocados and I mean they won't even notice I mean it's like it's great how wonderful yeah absolutely so enjoy your avocado Piratas and join us again on another episode of show me the car now adding a pinch of spice to your life member
