morning evening afternoon whatever it is for y'all and you're watching this this morning now it's about 5:00 you know we're going to talk about the wagon the breakfast at the wagon how it's different how it's changed hey I love breakfast anytime a date but I guarantee you back in Opie's day going down the trail is a whole lot different what we're having today so y'all stick around stay tuned going down the trail one old cookie was doing this job back in 1880 they didn't eat near this good I promise you coffee bacon sometimes beans with mostly coffee beans and biscuit now if I cookie had a little salt pork they might get a little that every once in a while but then boys didn't have their belly full near like they do today when I send them out we've got a lot better grocery stores no cookiehead mornings come early especially when you're an old ranch cook and a lot of times in the spring when it's getting light by 6:00 well I've been on ranches that we breakfast at 4:30 so that's getting up to 45 3 o'clock so it's it's a tradition that keeps alive same as old cookie had going back down the trails sure them em Cowboys ain't getting up quite that early but they'll go to pouring in about 30 minutes for time to eat breakfast and everybody will get to visit in and have something but my chores and old cookies going down the trail hadn't changed really all that much I still have the same responsibilities in the same duty no typically now we feed them guys bacon eight crazy BC sometimes sausage scrambled eggs or fried a tribal pancakes for breakfast casserole Jenny's well why bother talking about the difference will cook ahead and what I have to tighten in the way that we have please put the message are still the slice sure little cookie he didn't have no firebox like that probably he calling work only he cooked in cast irons just like we do he baked his brother we wanna know whenever he did it he fried in the cast-iron skillet he still got three jobs people feed him and feed him he sent him out everybody ready to get him zone cow battles and we do the same so it's still a lot of the same things sure we haven't saved mode of transportation this world over actually hook it up to a team and driving but we're not going 15 miles every day we're not going up the trail we're just working in different rankings and different pastures and we've gotten the whole lot easier on cooking ad and I kept my hat I didn't they're more cooking for me another tradition we have is that bagel encounter oh he howls at them every morning don't make no difference how many times he's seen them and we tell him that's the same group of fellers that he yesterday beat but he lets us know somebody's coming nobody sneaks up on those account you know what em Cowboys getting into camp after the vehicles give them his morning welcome it's time to get that black juices flowin that's that old coffee or that makes good coffee it's the way we welcome folks into camp and the cowboys know the routine they know where the cups and they pour it it's a good way to start a morning it's a good way to start it out there and mother nature's kitchen feeding Cowboys starting off for the free best people-watching Morgan as we finish up keep everybody safe and being with them as we travel thank you for the many blessings alive paint remover sweet watch and let's eat egg two up somebody quick hide you please Rumble foam in the floor today we get good old wedding for a long time like nursing the fried egg inside no cooking after breakfast them Cowboys they they have learned well the dish is going a wreck pan and by that I mean an old washtub there's one got soapy water and there's one got rinse water and then boys leave they have a job they have a function that they're doing and that's gather cattle me and Shannon have armed them very well out of full belly and you know they're gonna be back at noon time and they're gonna have a appetite an old cowboy burns a lot of calories I promise you so we'll we'll go to starting something for lunch all pretty close 10:30 maybe a little before that if we're making a dessert brownies pies cakes something like that but we'll fill them up when they come in at noon just like we did at breakfast I've drove many a wagon and the team across many a desolate old place and some of it the most beautiful country I've ever seen in my life just like old cookie did when he went down the trail I have a job that's what I do but it's not only a job it's something that I love it's something that I get to relive a part of history and pass on we hope you enjoy watching these videos and get a little glimpse into old cookies life you
