hi guys I play la you're watching Layla's home cooking in spices today i brought to you a very popular i would say up treat from Mauritius which we call macaca Coco was requested for for so long by my sister-in-law and so in English if I would say I would say coconut stuff sweet bread let's get started what I have here is some all-purpose flour some warm milk sugar sweetened coconut sunflower oil but you can use vegetable oil and some instant yeast first I'm gonna start by adding the yeast to the warm milk gonna need about I'm also gonna add a little sugar give it a quick stir and let this rise for 10 minutes or until you see the yeast going to foam like a phony look then you know the yeast is ready and now you know your milk has to see in temperature or has to be in a 1 110 degree Sascha's so the yeast can rise properly if your milk is to call the yeast will not rise and your bread will not be become like a light it's gonna come like taffy and if your milk is too hard that is like yeast it's gonna kill the yeast so it's not gonna work so make sure it's on the right temperature or 110 degree so let this rise and then now we'll move on it so now you can see how the rise how the release has been rising in this right temperature warm milk so I'm just gonna add it to the flour hi sugar about 1/4 cup of sunflower oil reason I'm not gonna use butter so because I need a very light texture of bread so leave that up move it slowly first this will take me about 10 minutes on the stand mixer to make this dough but if you want to do this if you want to do this by hand you have to keep kneading this on on your light surface flour on your working area like you have to give this a good reading for a please I would sing 25 minutes for you to get a good friend so you know what just remove this hook check this check check that though it's gonna be very soft so we're gonna walk a little bit uh mrs. Downes the lights of this flower on my yard counter add little bit flower on your counter you can't just go out from this bowl put some dry flour I just need a little bit like for a minute not much texture you get a very nice smooth dough look at that get rid of those excess flour add some just a little bit of oil and then you know let the oil goes everywhere on my door so does it make a cross on top and then there we have to wait now for until this become double in size it's gonna take an hour also try to leave it in a warm place like I'm gonna put mine in the oven with a oven light on but the oven light scanning the oven gonna be off on this a light on so in that ways that they're gonna get rice quickly and then we'll move ahead okay so I I have this though in my inside my oven with the one off but just the light was on so it took it took an hour so that do is right double in value shake it see that how soft it is the dough I also have to trick line with parchment paper and now please don't use wax paper because what's people gives you kind of a smoke when your your food is baking and then that smoke goes to your to your food so it's better to use parchment paper I also have my oven that is preheating right now so what we're gonna do is I have my counter with flour now I'm going to divide this door devices do now the size is gory you can make us big as small as you want it all right think I'm gonna make let's see I'm making falling here so I'm gonna get a you can make it 10 or 12 if you want it to be more smaller so my coconut now I'm using a dry this heated coconut I add sugar to it but if you can find this already sweetened coconut that would be a that would be perfect so it's flatter the door alright the coconut in the middle now you can add as much as you want depending how easy is it to close but too little it's not good or too much it's gonna break just close it properly because we don't want to see coconut to come outside while baking just like that kupah all the measurement and the preparation within the description below and also in my group Leila's home cooking in spices if you're following me on Facebook you'll find my group as well so it's all in the album all my recipes over there all the full written recipes or in the album case so this is done okay so I forgot to mention earlier we need we're gonna need an egg yolk a little bit of milk this need to brush the British market Shikoku okay now I'm just gonna cover this with our close up kitchen coat just like that just like that just give it ten minutes minutes I'm gonna put this to bake and then I'll show you how it looks like okay I just made a sugar zero I add 2 tablespoon of granulated sugar and 2 tbsp water just let them melt together just brush those bread my bread has been baking for 15 minutes in a preheated oven of 425 and it looks perfect in color I'm gonna break one just to show you how it is inside well now I know it's hard but that's why this it's too hot I can't even break that by hand so just cut it in half because that Seetha she's a coconut inside look at how how soft is the bread the maca Shikoku that was requested by my sister-in-law okay so I hope you enjoyed this video with me today and give it a try comments below how you like it and don't forget to Like and subscribe I will see you next time with another great recipes bye for now
